I develop products with a focus on usability, maintainability, and business impact. I’ve had the fortune of working in a variety of settings ranging from early-stage startups to globally distributed organizations.
I currently work on a Search-as-a-Service product as a technical lead with Automattic. I’m primarily responsible for ensuring a high level of maintainability, driving product quality, and evolving our overall architecture. Previously, I worked on WordPress.com while leading interface development within Automattic’s Data Engineering division.
Prior to Automattic, I led front-end development at Coupang, developed full-stack at Humble Bundle, and served as engineer #2 at Gliimpse (acquired by Apple). I am a first generation Korean American and hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley.
